Meet the team
Founder and Chief Strategy Officer
Neil founded Bagchi Law in 2008 after recognizing that the way big law firms do business is inefficient. He wanted to shift the focus from the bottom line to customer service. Neil was inspired to offer sophisticated, global, and legal expertise as it relates to commercial transactions. He wanted to ensure these services were available to entrepreneurs, early-stage, and mid-sized companies alike.
However, Neil didn’t always want to practice law. He’d hoped to join law enforcement after university, but he became fascinated with how businesses work in the process. For nearly five years, Neil served as an attorney for notable firms. He realized there was a better way to serve clients without the excessive overhead of a large law firm. Neil knew that clients could get the same value in a boutique law firm, and provide a higher touch. It wasn’t long before he founded Bagchi Law, a firm that delivers value through client-centric care and solutions. Also, the firm’s ethos includes giving back to the community by doing pro bono work for entrepreneurs and nonprofits.
Two years ago, Neil noticed that clients need more than legal advice. They required a 360° solution. A solution that includes business strategy, financial matters, and other functions that legal counsel may not address. Neil set out to bring on new team members with these skills and build an all-in-one solution-provider. Within two years, he formed the Bagchi Group. As the founder of Bagchi Law and Bagchi Group, Neil has a reputation for delivering responsive, collaborative, and innovative solutions that challenge the default.

While attending Liberty University, Ken was considering future career paths when several friends and family suggested he become an attorney. He was already planning on getting his MBA, but it soon became evident that not only could he do both, but by combining the two, his path ahead was crystal clear. Having grown up seeing his entrepreneur father manage his own optometry business, Ken knew he wanted to work with and support people like his father - to be a legal advocate for business owners.
At Liberty University, where he met his wife, Ken stayed busy achieving five degrees and became the president of the Society for Human Resource Management. While managing over 40 volunteers, he created and executed a five-figure budget obtained through careful fundraising, and his team received national awards for innovation. Ken was also the lead site coordinator for the Liberty Law School chapter of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which helps underprivileged and underserved members of society prepare and file their annual tax returns.

Practicing law wasn't Mayukh's original plan. Still, he's always been fascinated with technological innovations. He studied biology while an undergrad in hopes of attending medical school. But following a research opportunity at the University of North Carolina and completing his masters at Georgetown, he changed his mind. Mayukh took a Laboratory Manager role with the University of Maryland. Here he was inspired to pursue intellectual property law.
After law school, Mayukh practiced business and intellectual property law for several years before joining the Bagchi Law team. A colleague highly recommended the firm, which sparked Mayukh's initial interests. Several characteristics sold him on the firm. First, Bagchi's full spectrum of services was intriguing. Next, the high degree of collaboration with clients’ teams was attractive. And finally, the culture of teamwork within the firm made it an easy decision to join.
Mayukh's clients appreciate his diligence and commitment to always finding a solution to their problems. As someone who never wants to say no, he seeks to support his clients in achieving their vision and goal. He immerses himself in learning about the product and the client to gain a better understanding.
